It’s been one week.

Wyatt is a week old! Crazy to think that God has already blessed us with a whole week with him, and today is his actual due date. We certainly are enjoying the early arrival. Last night, we celebrated his one week birthday with a family dinner at my parents house. Andrew, Teresa and Wyatt came over for some grub and fun. It was a great time for everyone to hang out and talk – none of us can imagine our lives without Wyatt – he’s such a blessing.

Oh and of course my sister is doing great, she doesn’t even look like she gave birth a week ago!

We knew Wyatt was going to be a hairy kid, but no one thought he’d be able to rock the mohawk already!

Wyatt and Tay Tay Day.

As you all know, I have a great job! I love my job! One of the many things that I love so much about my job is having Friday’s off. When my sister first told me she was having a baby we of course talked about daycare. While ideally it would be great to have Gran (our mom) retire and take care of Wyatt when Andrew and Teresa are at work, it’s just not feasible.

With all that said… Wyatt will be in daycare only on a part time basis because Andrew who is a firefighter (that means 24 hours on and 48 hours off) will be able to take care of him most days. But we’ve (more like I) already designated Friday as “Wyatt and Tay Tay day”. It’s quite fitting that today is Wyatt’s first Friday (which is also my sister and brother-in-law’s 5 year anniversary), and we’ve already gotten to enjoy our first “Wyatt and Tay Tay day”. This morning I headed over to Teresa and Andrew’s so they could go to the doctor and run a few errands. We had a blast! Ok, he slept, sharted, ate and peed. But I enjoyed every moment.

He’s adorable, he shrieks like a monkey, he’s a snuggler, he’s a paci-sucker, he (like most people ;) ) enjoys my singing, he’s a mover and a shaker, he chugs his mommy’s milk, he’s not afraid of three “pet”stky sisters, he’s my fave!

Can’t wait for every “Wyatt and Tay Tay Day”.

Ooooohhhh you know I took pictures.

Future KSU Owl.

Well as you all know, my nephew is the cutest thing since well nothing’s as cute as he is. I’m sure all first time aunts say that, right?!!? Wyatt is especially cute now that he’s wearing all those adorable clothes that people bought him instead of the hospital garb that all newborns wear.

After work today, I stopped by Teresa and Andrew’s to drop a few things off and I got to see the cuteness in his owl outfit. It’s too precious and it’s quite fitting since both of his parents are Kennesaw State Owls! (I prefer to see him as a future UGA bulldog though).

I also will always be the aunt with her camera in tow. I already purchased a new 50mm lens that I can’t wait to get! Enough already… enjoy the pics and Hoot, hoot!

Life’s Update.

A lot has happened in the almost two months from my last post. Seems like a lot of the time was spent training for triathlons, preparing for Kenya and enjoying family.

Because I’m lazy and it’d be a looooooong post… I’ll update you on the past two months via the top 8, bottom 4 (in no particular order).

Top 8

1. my sister turning 31. man, she’s the best. sad i missed 30, but 31 is going to be better.

2. chattanooga tri – 1.5k swim, 42k bike, 10k run- good build up to the half ironman.

3. my mom taking and supporting me with the chattanooga tri.

4. jake dalton franklin was born. can’t believe shark bait is already 5 weeks old.

5. running the peachtree with my mom. blessed to have a mom that works out so much.

6. andrew and teresa deciding on a name – Wyatt. About 2 1/2 months until he’s here!

7. vacationing with the whole Williams side of the family in Fort Morgan, Alabama.

8. God giving me July 23-August 2 in N’Gaamba, Kenya – I had no idea what He had in store for me.

Bottom 4

1. the 31 hours of travel home from Kenya and countless more without real sleep.

2. fruit flies invading the house while we were at the beach.

3. Zach and I almost being taken away in a crazy storm cause we were trying to save everyone’s stuff on the beach.

4. the countless hours spent swimming, running and cycling… and the thought that they will continue.

bWill bStyling.

I’m one for spoiling. I love buying little children clothes. Everytime I see something new I want to buy it. Most the time I can resist the urge, but this weekend I couldn’t resist the urge to buy my little nephew a few things ( mind you they only cost $15 total :) )

Here’s the first toy I ever got for bWill. I’m thinking bWill won’t be a blankee boy, he’ll be a stuffed animal holder – which is perfect for his mom. My sister ( still to this day ) has her stuffed bear that’s she has had pretty much since birth. Teresa said I can see him dragging it around already.

bWill's Yogi!

Here’s his first pair of booties. Mom, T, and I love SmartWool socks. We fight over which are ours (mine mainly have holes – so I get the raw end of the deal). Now bWill has his first SmartWool socks that his mom, gran and aunt can’t fight over!

Mmm… I love this kid already. Now everytime I see my sister, I give him a kiss :)
