Papa Smurf.
So a few days ago Wyatt turned two months (12/17), and I’ve been looking back on his past two months of pictures. I ran across this picture from his first day with us. It’s hilarious. I remember uploading it on my computer and thinking he looks like papa smurf. He’s grown so much since this picture, not in weight, but in personality. He loves to just hang out and talk to us. We tell him sweet nothings and he coos and coos. I have an odd inclination that he might be an early talker… just sayin’.

The Great Outdoors… another view.
Remember the cute “Great Outdoors” picture of Wyatt looking outside from the couch?!? Well here’s another view of the same pose. I promise I take great care of him Teresa and Andrew when you all aren’t around

Have a holly, jolly Christmas!
Here’s another picture from our Christmas photo shoot last week… The joy on his face is priceless, not to mention those stinkin’ dimples. I’m amazed that I get to watch him grow up! I’ve got to be one of the most blessed auntie’s in the world!

Christmas Photo Shoot.
In honor of being a God-fearing, wholesome Christian family, we did the only noble thing for his first Christmas photo and dressed him up like….. SANTA. Oh sorry, hope you weren’t expecting baby Jesus.
The photo shoot went a little something like this…
It started out with silent night…
“sleep in heavenly, heavenly peace”
Is he not adorable!?!?! Cutest kid on the block.
Then he changed Santa’s infamous “ho, ho, ho” to…
“yo, yo, yo!”
Straight up gangsta! He said, “I ain’t pouting, I’ve got my game face on for Santa”
Then he started smiling and coo-ing when I told him the story of Jesus being born on Christmas. Apparently the fact that Jesus was a baby and he is a baby made him giddy!
As you can tell we had a blast! Hands down, best photo shoot yet. There was no fussing involved!

Sunday Birthday Lunches.
Our family is pretty heavy on traditions. One of my favorite traditions is birthday lunches at Mama and Papa’s house. Most every month, all the family is invited over to their house to celebrate the birthdays for that given month. Gran, Mona and Tim’s birthdays are all in December and on the 6th we celebrated them. So of course this was Wyatt’s first Sunday birthday lunch at Mama and Papa’s.
Some of my fondest memories have been spent at my grandparents house with family, and I am extremely grateful for every moment that Wyatt has and will spend at my grandparent’s house with family. I want him to know the great family he has been blessed with.
Hopefully aunt Tay Tay can teach him a few tricks soon on how to pick on Mama and Papa

Toccoa… the guard cat.
In the past week and a half, Wyatt has a new guardian, Toccoa… our cat. Wherever Wyatt goes, Toccoa goes also. If Wyatt’s sleeping in his boppy car, Toccoa is right by his side sleeping in her bucket. If Gran goes to change Wyatt’s diaper, Toccoa laying on the carpet in the room. She is always by his side. I can always tell when I get home if it’s a day Wyatt’s been over. The normally awake Toccoa is sacked out from utter exhaustion in her bucket by the kitchen table.
It’s a rough life self-promoting yourself to guard cat.

The Great Outdoors.
Wyatt’s been fascinated with the outdoors since… well, birth. He can be crying and all the medicine he needs is a drawn shade and the great outdoors. There’s nothing like perching him up on the back of the couch and watching his eyes and mind wonder. I’m sure he’s thinking, “I can’t wait to get out and explore”. I can’t wait either, it will be lots of fun when we can go outside and enjoy the weather together.

Got Rogaine?
Wyatt said his first sentence last week, “Momma, I need Rogaine.” Ok you know he didn’t really say that, but our hairy little buddy is starting to lose some of his locks. Teresa has said that she’s found chunks of hair in his bouncy chair or other places. Poor little guy could hairless soon, especially on the sides. He still has a good bit on the back, but it appears to be thinning out as well.
I’ll let you be the judge:
